Congratulations to these two dentists who received 2025 loan repayment awards from the FIND Project!

Dr. David Lyle, East Des Moines Dental, Des Moines

Dr. Lyle is a 2019 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics. After graduation, he joined his father’s practice as an associate, and in 2021 became the sole owner of East Des Moines Dental. Dr. Lyle provides comprehensive services to children and adults.

Dr. Lauren Schau, Wildflower Kids Dentistry, Dubuque

Dr. Schau completed her dental degree at the University of Iowa in 2016 and a General Practice Residency in Minnesota in 2017. After several years in private and public health practice she returned to Iowa and opened Wildflower Kids Dentistry in 2024, serving children and special needs patients.

Since the 2002 inception of the loan repayment program, 63 dentists have received awards – with over $3 million in funding allocated to them. These dentists have provided 349,000 patients visits and more than 941,000 dental services to underserved Iowans. This has had a significant impact on improving the oral health and overall health in their communities.
